
DGSN celebrates 67th anniversary of outbreak of Glorious Liberation War
ALGIERS- The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) celebrated, Sunday evening, the 67th anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious War of Liberation through all its services.
ALGIERS- The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) celebrated, Sunday evening, the 67th anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious War of Liberation through all its services.
“The General Directorate of National Security celebrated, on Sunday evening, the 67th anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious Liberation War through all its services,” said a statement from the body, adding that “the ceremony of raising the national flag, held at the “Ali Tounsi” Higher Police School, was chaired by the Director General of National Security, Farid Bencheikh.
Senior National Security officials and members of the revolutionary family attended the ceremony, which was marked by a visit to the Colonel Lotfi Central Police Museum.
Speaking during this visit, the Director General of National Security recalled “the horrors that Algeria suffered during the abject colonial period”.
In addition, a wreath of flowers was placed on the commemorative stele and a minute of silence was observed in memory of the Chouhada.
